New release: Doxology by The X-Structure

The X-Structure are back after a few months of resting, adventuring and their frontman, Starrzan, recovering from a broken leg. Their return is signaled by the release of their much anticipated album, Doxology. The album further explores the band's ideals through muscial expression and forms part of a joint release between Bushmen Records and the Italian netlabel, 51beats.

The re-release of The Matrix 2.0

After a few months of being asleep Dj Khoisan has finally awoken from his peaceful slumber to bring us the re-release of The Matrix 2.0. If you had not noticed it yet, The Matrix 2.0 had disappeared off the face of the internet somewhere at the end of 2009. This was due to some minor copyright discrepancy on one of the tracks in the set, at which Dj Khoisan and Bushmen Records immediately removed the entire set in order to rectify the offence. At that time we explained our position and made peace with the offended parties. Dj Khoisan saw it as a challenge to make The Matrix 2.0 available to the people once again and in between his period of rest he managed to replace the track with one just as fitting and as brilliant as its predecessor.

So without futher ado, here is the re-release of The Matrix 2.0. (2.0.1. if you want to be technical)

New release: Serendipity by Crabnebula

During the last few months Bushmen Records and the excellent Italian netlabel 51beats have been discussing and planning "joint releases" as a means to get more exposure for our artists and also to strengthen the netlabel culture across continents. 

Serendipity is the first joint release on Bushmen Records by a foreign artist and netlabel. One of our own artists, the mysteriously crafty, Dj Khoisan, has had two of his mixes jointly released on 51beats and Bushmen Records. Our latest release, Serendipity, marks a new era for netlabels and artists who wish to get their music out for the whole world to hear. 

We are very excited about the future of our collaborations and want to thank 51beats for all their efforts thus far. May our alliance flourish and the music spread througout the world.

After having had to wash dishes for a month,  due to a secret Recession mission, The X-Structure is back with their 7th album to date. 7 is a good number and I think you will like this album. It contains only four tracks but these 4 tracks combined will as always take you on an journey of emotion, inspiration and imagination, and make you feel good in the end.

The Matrix 2.0 downloading like hot cakes

And now for the news.

Only two days after the release of The Matrix 2.0 by Dj Khoisan and the mix has already been downloaded more than 500 times. This is truely a great achievement for another great artist of Bushmen Records. Well done Dj Khoisan and keep those epic mixes coming.

New release: The Matrix 2.0 by Dj Khoisan

Dj Khoisan is back in quick succession and with that the release of his latest epic mix called The Matrix 2.0. This mix is the 1st part of a 3 part series of mixes inspired by the movie "The Matrix", also dubbed the alternative soundtrack to "The Matrix".

We are also happy to announce that this release forms part of a new "netlabel artist exchange initiative" between Bushmen Records and the Italian netlabel, 51beats. We are very excited about this new venture and you will definitely see, and hear, the fruits of this international collaboration.
