New release: Subconscious by Jed Rabid
27.04.2012
Our newest tribesman, Jed Rabid, has wasted no time in giving us a taste of what he has to offer. His first gift to us is a four track EP, titled Subconscious, which is just long enough to give you a taste of the darker side of electronic music.
Its a slowly brooding trip, with oscillating basslines and well crafted dubstepesque drumming, that gives the impression of the darker thoughts and moods that could be brewing subconsciously in the minds of some or maybe all. A battle between two sides. The conscious and the subconscious. Which side will prevail? Do you decide?
Style: Dubstep, EBM, Breaks, Electro

Our tribe of motley underground South African artists is growing slowly but surely and with this we welcome our newest member Jed Rabid, who hails from Cape Town.
Jed will be releasing an EP shortly and here is how he describes his sound:
"Genre... err.... I'm not too sure, it's sort of the gray areas of Dubstep, EBM, Breaks and Electro".
Intrigued?
If so then you won't be disappointed. Stay tuned for the imminent release.

New release: Uranometria by The Shimmer Effect
03.01.2012
Happy new year to all!
To kick off 2012 we are excited and proud to announce the release of the much anticipated debut album, Uranometria, by the eclectic South African (Sjanine Steyn) / Scottish (Stephen Mullarkey) electronic duo, The Shimmer Effect.
The extact style of the album is hard to pinpoint, with traces of trip-hop and idm coming through, but what stands out is that is a meticulously crafted album from start to finish, taking you on a sonic journey through valleys of deep moods and mountains teeming with hidden energy.
This is how artist put it: "The Shimmer Effect takes you on a fantastic journey into the unconsciousness with their first album 'Uranometria'. Loaded with atmospheric rhythmes, colourful yet haunting soundscapes, and an assortment of flavors, styles and feels, this genre-bending duo delivers what most say is a unique and successful international musical collaboration."

New release: Liberation by The X-Structure
18.12.2011
A futuristic western space opera?
That's what The X-Structure are calling their latest genre defining album, Liberation, and what we now know of The X-Structure is that they sure know how to be creative in the definition of their music. But even more catchy and creative is the music on this 7 track album which is a journey into a world where darkness has corrupted the once good town of Hopefound. Only a Hero can save the people from this darkness and bring back the light of freedom. This is the story of their liberation.
Style: Electronica, Down-tempo, Trip-hop
New release: Nabù by The Swindler Beat
21.11.2011
It has finally come to pass for the Italian netlabel 51beats and us, Bushmen Records, to continue our pioneering "joint-release" collaboration. This time around we present to you the guest artist The Swindler Beat with their latest release Nabù.
This album can be described as dance music of a dystopic future. If you have ever watched the show Samurai Jack then picture in your mind the scene in the bar when Jack first appears in the future. This album could be straight from that future world but it is here now, being danced to by present-day earthlings in the underground clubs of Milan, Italy and listend to by others all over the world.
It is a great album, if the previous description did not convince you, and it is not just for tripping the light fantastic in dark clubs but also a good companion when tapping away at your keyboard in your online and offline adventures.
Style: Techno, Analogue Electronics, Electrofunk, Nu-disco
